16 December 2021 Dear BAT Affiliate
Opportunity to participate in the proposed Bromley Arts Festival in July 2022.
BAT, the Bromley Little Theatre, Bromley Community Arts Theatre and other arts organisations are proposing to work together as an arts festival group to submit a bid for a grant of £20K from Bromley Council to arrange and promote a wide-ranging arts festival in July 2022. Our aim is to interest, involve and support many arts-related organisations throughout the London Borough of Bromley in this proposed arts festival. The festival group could provide support by coordinating a detailed month-long programme as well as advertising and promoting the events planned during the festival period.
As a first step, we are eager to find out about what events have already been planned during July next year and where they are to be held. If your organisation has not already programmed any arts activities during this period, it would be helpful to know if you might be interested in participating in the arts festival, the type of event you would propose and the possible venue.
The festival group is also interested in identifying all the venues currently used for arts activities. The festival group has very little time to prepare the bid as the deadline is 31 January 2022. Your timely response will be invaluable to us as we explore all the possible options to create an arts festival as a viable and valuable proposition, to enhance the provision of arts activities throughout the borough in 2022.
It would be most helpful if you would send your responses by email to Thelma Richardson’s (Business Manager) email firstname.lastname@example.org on or preferably before Monday 10 January 2022 so we have enough time to prepare the necessary bid documentation. Your assistance and involvement would be very much appreciated.
With very best wishes for the Christmas period and for 2022. Yours sincerely
