England Expects

After Trafalgar, on its way to burial in St Paul’s Cathedral, was Nelson’s body guarded in a barn near the sleepy seaside village of Floodmouth? Modern-day Floodmouth Council leader Angela Christie certainly hopes so: she needs a good story to get the tourists coming back to her rundown resort. But to find the truth, Angela needs help from a cantankerous local resident, a pair of eccentric local historians and a very reluctant town clerk. Meanwhile, back in 1805, three hapless sailors are embarking on a perilous mission. Will anyone, ancient or modern, find what they are looking for? A comedy about how history gets written, how history gets used and how weevils can upset the best of sailors.
