Radio Fun at Farnborough

Radio Fun at Farnborough

From Thursday 28 – Saturday 30 October, Farnborough Dramatic Society welcomed back their performance starved faithful to the Village Hall ‘radio studio’ for a riotous albeit slightly risqué (I joke) ‘Radio Fun’, a series of radio scripts and quips read variously by a cast of 14, ranging from around middle-aged to somewhat ‘senior’ performers. Which of course is one of the joys of this very much ‘family orientated, ageless’ society. The gales of laughter which greeted each piece not only signalled the audience’s hilarity but also their relief at returning to the Village Hall for the long-awaited return to live performance by their very own amdram group. While it would be invidious to single out any one of the cast for individual praise, surely special mention must be made of the ‘less youthful’ performers who must have been relieved not to have had to remember their lines on the night (again I joke).

Congratulations to FDS for kicking off the 2021 – 2022 ‘village amdram’ season with gusto.
