Bromley has always been associated with the blues. In the 1960s, the Bromel Club at the Bromley Court Hotel hosted many American bluesmen, including Sonny Boy Williamson, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Champion Jack Dupree, John Lee Hooker and Bo Diddley, as well as stars such as Jimi Hendrix and Wilson Pickett. Sonny Boy also appeared in early 1964 at the White Hart Inn in the town centre.

Now, the blues is back for 2024. Mississippi MacDonald and The Bourne Music Club are proud to present a new series of blues shows featuring the cream of British and American musicians – the Bromley Blues Club at Bromley Little Theatre. We are proud to be able to announce Steve ‘West’ Weston for our launch night.
Steve holds a high reputation from his audience, reviewers and peers as a top harmonica player. His performance of Chicago and West Coast harp playing is held in high regard globally and rightly so too.
Just some of the names that call upon him to perform in their bands include Mud Morganfield and Roger Daltrey.
Combine his blues harp talents with his vocals and charismatic performance and you know that this show will be an absolute treat.
