‘West’ Weston at BLT

Bromley has always been associated with the blues. In the 1960s, the Bromel Club at the Bromley Court Hotel hosted many American bluesmen, including Sonny Boy Williamson, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Champion Jack Dupree, John Lee Hooker and Bo Diddley, as well as stars such as Jimi Hendrix and Wilson Pickett. Sonny Boy also appeared in early 1964 at the White Hart Inn in the town centre.
